The Layout
Before considering having your kitchen restyled, the first question to ask yourself is, ‘Does the existing layout work?’
However, it may be worth considering the following options first.
If the answer is ‘No’, it may be worth considering a new kitchen where you can completely re-design the layout.
- Consider removing or adding some units
- De-Clutter
- Remove or change the furniture
Budget
Cost will also be an important consideration when deciding to go new, or not.
With the average cost of a new kitchen now running at between *£15,000 to £20,000 – and with a real wood, bespoke kitchens potentially costing even more, a restyle will normally be a fraction of the cost at around 10-15%.
Also, don’t forget to factor in the other costs such as;
- Contingency
- Loan Interest (if necessary)
- Time off work (if necessary)

Condition
Don’t be concerned if the existing coating is flaking, peeling, greasy or rubbing off. A specialist kitchen painter will have an arsenal of products, tools, materials and skills to solve these problems. Minor repairs should also be dealt with as part of the service.

Cabinet types
Most kitchen carcasses are constructed in the same way, being a man-made wood composite with a laminate to finish or of solid wood construction.
Surprisingly, they can all be painted, including;
- Varnished Wood
- Oiled Wood
- Painted surfaces
- High gloss laminates
- Wood patterned laminates
- Plain coloured laminates
- And much more…
Colour & Style
One of the advantages of having your kitchen restyled is CHOICE!
You can choose any combination from 1000’s of colour options.
By selecting the right colours you can make your kitchen traditionally cosy or modern and vibrant. If you also change the hardware you can go much further with your facelift by completely renewing the kitchen’s perceived age and quality
You should also be able to choose your finish from hand painted to sprayed
Environmental Benefits
I think it goes without saying that replacing a kitchen not only adds to landfill, but uses the earths precious resources to manufacture and transport the replacement units.
Kitchens are now painted using amazingly durable water based paints that are kind to the environment, people and pets.
Is it right for you?
